Masterclasses in agro-ecology and nutrition

During the growing season we run masterclasses on a number of topics.

Each masterclass consists of both some theory and practical experience and is delivered by an expert in their field.

All masterclasses take place on Saturdays, last for about three hours and are located at the Zerodig site on Oakbrook Farm just outside Stroud.

Foundation course in agro-ecological market gardening

Join us for a whole season of theoretical and hands-on learning when our new course is launched. Watch this space for more news soon! Please register your interest for the course by telling us your preferences for days of the week or weekends.

At the end of this course you will have experienced a whole season of growing and have gained the knowledge needed to be a successful Zerodig grower.

The topics covered include:

  • how to understand and nurture a living soil,
  • how to build living soil beds,
  • the dos and don’ts for successful propagation and planting out,
  • the importance of observation and timely maintenance interventions,
  • the dos and don’ts of watering for healthy crops, pest and disease control, harvesting and preparing produce for sale,
  • delicious recipes from your produce and how to store and preserve your produce over winter to reduce waste, and most importantly,
  • how to plan your cropping for the following year.
